WhatsApp for Android gets a handy new feature

WhatsApp is rolling out a long-awaited feature for Android users: the ability to select the quality of automatically downloaded photos and videos. What’s New in WhatsApp?

In WhatsApp beta for Android (build 2.25.18.11), a new setting lets users choose the quality of media during auto-download. Some beta testers already have access, and it will roll out to all beta users over the next few weeks. A public release in the stable version is expected later.
