Why will WhatsApp be disabled on millions of Android smartphones and what to do?

WhatsApp plans to stop supporting outdated versions of Android smartphones. IT expert Sergey Mironov, senior lecturer at the Institute of Information Technology of the Russian Technical University MIREA, explained that the reason is that Google stopped supporting these operating systems. The lack of security updates makes such devices vulnerable to cyberattacks.
