Xiaomi introduces new Watch S4 Sport smart watch and Xiaomi Smart Band 9 bracelet

The Xiaomi company presented its new Watch S4 Sport smart watch and the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 smart bracelet. Both have quite interesting characteristics.

The device has a titanium case, durable sapphire glass and the ability to safely dive to a depth of 40 m. It passed PADI testing and received the EN13319 certificate required for diving devices, reports GSMArena.

The new watch features a 1.43-inch OLED display with a maximum brightness of 2,200 nits. Thanks to this display, it remains legible even in bright sunlight. A powerful 586 mAh battery is installed inside the watch, which, according to the manufacturer, provides up to 15 days of battery life without recharging.

Watch S4 Sport has support for five satellite positioning systems and can work without connecting to a smartphone thanks to the built-in eSIM. On the back of the watch is a heart rate and blood oxygen level indicator, protected by a sapphire screen and with 97.2% accuracy.

In addition, the new product can be used as a key for some car brands thanks to the built-in NFC. The device comes with four belts made of different fabrics. The new smartwatch retails for 2,000 yuan, which is about $275.

Xiaomi Smart Band 9

Xiaomi Smart Band 9 has a powerful battery that ensures the operation of the bracelet up to 21 days without the Always On Display function and up to 9 days with the use of this function, reports FoneArena.

Compared to the previous model, the appearance of Xiaomi Smart Band 9 has practically remained unchanged. The bracelet is equipped with a 1.6-inch OLED screen with a refresh rate of 60 Hz and an updated Bluetooth 5.4 module. The device provides more than 150 training modes and has a waterproof case.

The company said it has improved the accuracy of the heart rate sensor by 16% compared to the previous generation. A collaboration with Peking University was also announced to improve the accuracy of detecting breathing problems during sleep.

The bracelet comes with four color bands: pink, black, white and blue, which can be changed very quickly. The built-in battery capacity is 233 mAh, which is much higher than its predecessor's 190 mAh. The version with NFC model can be used as a key for some car models. The bracelet is priced at 250 yuan, about $35.
