A popular messenger has begun testing an innovative feature that allows users to edit photos and get information about them using Meta AI.

The new feature, reported by WABetaInfo, was spotted in the latest beta version of WhatsApp 2.24.14.20 for Android. With this feature, users can upload photos to a chat with Meta AI, which can analyze the images and answer additional questions about them. For example, users can ask the AI to identify objects in a photo or explain its meaning.

Additionally, the AI can quickly edit images based on text requests entered in the chat. Although it is currently unclear how extensive the editing capabilities will be, WABetaInfo notes that the new feature "will add convenience to the user experience" and help people save time.

For users concerned about privacy, WhatsApp has provided the option to delete uploaded photos at any time. Additionally, sources previously reported that Meta is also developing an AI-powered avatar generator that will allow users to create their own images with various backgrounds and styles.

The new photo editing feature with AI is still in the testing phase and is only available in the beta version of WhatsApp for Android. There is no information yet on when it will be launched for all users without restrictions.
