Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman has revealed new details about the intelligent photo editing function using generative artificial intelligence on the iPhone, which will be available in the iOS 18 operating system.
In particular, Apple has developed a new feature to remove objects in photos that uses generative artificial intelligence to recognize, remove the unwanted object and fill the area with created content that matches the environment. The system works on the same principle as in Google Pixel, Samsung Galaxy and Huawei smartphones.
Apple has developed an "in-house app" called Generative Playground that could allow users to take advantage of the aforementioned AI-powered photo editing feature. The feature can be integrated with iMessage. Additionally, iOS 18 will reportedly allow you to create custom emojis.
Additionally, iOS 18 will offer the ability to automatically generate replies that take into account factors such as names, calendar events, locations, time, and more. Siri will also improve.
The Notes app will get a major update in iOS 18 and macOS 15, and will include generative artificial intelligence capabilities to convert speech to text and summarize information. Users will be able to record audio directly from the Notes app, convert it to text, and summarize the information.
Other details will be revealed during the WWDC-2024 conference, which will be held from June 10 to 14.
