Microsoft will end support for Windows 10 version 21H2

May 13, 2024  16:14

Microsoft has published a reminder that support for Windows 10 version 21H2 will end in less than 30 days.

The latest security update for Windows 10 21H2 Enterprise, Education, and IoT Enterprise editions will be released on June 11, 2024. After that, 22H2 will be the only version of Windows 10 for consumers and enterprise users that will receive support.

Microsoft reminded that the end of support means that the operating system will no longer receive security updates and bug fixes.

“The Windows Update Center automatically initiates updates for corporate Windows 10 devices not managed by IT departments as they near the end of their service life. The Windows 10 22H2 update will provide support for your device and monthly updates," the company explained.

It should be noted that the end of support for Windows 10 version 21H2 does not affect LTSC 2021; Microsoft plans to provide support for Windows 10 Enterprise and IoT Enterprise LTSC 2021 until January 12, 2027. Millions of computers are running Windows 10 version 21H2.
