WhatsApp has changed the design of the messenger for the Android version, WhatsApp informed about this on its page of the X social network. In order to make the application more comfortable to use, the navigation bar, which was previously located at the top, has now been moved to the bottom.

"We've changed some elements to make it easier for you to access everything you need, when you need it," the company said, adding that the new control panel will be "closer to your fingertips and look nicer." ".

The previous panel had four tabs: Communities, Chats, Status, and Calls. In the new design, the bottom panel has four more tabs, with the Updates tab replacing the Status tab. The order of the tabs has also changed: "Chats", "Updates", "Communities" and "Calls".

All four tabs now have icons, whereas previously only the Communities tab had an icon. In addition, the color of the panel has been changed from green to white.

While the user can still switch between tabs by swiping, the point of moving the navigation bar down is that the user doesn't have to reach the top of the screen if they need to open a non-adjacent tab.

WhatsApp has already released the version of the messenger with an updated design. If your navigation bar is still at the top, you need to update the app.
