A new function has appeared in the Telegram messenger, which allows you to turn personal user accounts into business profiles. It is located in the Telegram Business special section. Bots operating with artificial intelligence have also appeared in Messenger, Pavel Durov, the creator of the service, informed about this on his Telegram channel.

"This week we launched the first set of Telegram Business features. Users can now turn their personal Telegram accounts into business ones. This will allow them to add their location and opening hours, organize chats with color-coded labels, use automatic greeting replies or texts saying you can't reply at the moment, as well as quick reply templates," Durov said in a statement.

In addition, Durov announced the emergence of new functions, one of which will "revolutionize user interaction with chatbots." Owners of Telegram business accounts will be able to use chatbots as "invisible secretaries", which will bring automation to a new level thanks to artificial intelligence-based technologies. It is noteworthy that the new Bot API will be available to developers completely free of charge until the end of this month.

Durov also promised that during the year more interesting things will appear in Telegram for businesses and developers.

Let's remind that at the end of last month, Durov announced the function of monetization of Telegram channels. As part of this innovation, owners of public Telegram channels will receive up to 50% of the platform's revenue for displaying ads on their channels.
