According to the award description on the MWC website, the "Best Smartphone" is recognized as a device that demonstrates a high level of innovation and performance.

The compact Pixel 8 smartphone features a 6.2-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a maximum brightness of 1400 nits. The device's performance is powered by the proprietary Tensor G3 chip paired with 8GB of RAM.

Its main 50-megapixel camera is complemented by an ultra-wide-angle sensor of 12MP, and the smartphone's 4575mAh battery supports 27W fast charging.
