Apple has released its new operating system, macOS 14, called Sonoma, and it is already available for Mac users. The new version of the operating system brings a number of improvements and interesting features, including customizable widgets, improved Internet capabilities and even a game mode.

According to MacRumors, Sonoma now has screensavers with a variety of natural, urban and underwater landscapes that are truly stunning. Widgets can now be freely placed on the desktop, and their color will dynamically change to match the dominant wallpaper colors. If your iPhone is on the same Wi-Fi network as your Mac, widgets from your smartphone will automatically appear on the macOS 14 desktop.

Improvements have also been made to internet functions. Safari now introduces profiles that let you separate your data into work and personal categories, including history, cookies, extensions, and bookmarks. Now you can also turn any website into a program icon and place it on your desktop for quick access.

One of the most important updates is the introduction of a game mode. This mode prioritizes your PC's resources for gaming, delivering more stable frame rates and minimal latency when inputting commands for wireless headphones and controllers.

To access macOS 14 Sonoma, you'll need a device from the following list: iMac 2019, iMac Pro 2018, Mac mini 2018, MacBook Pro 2018, Mac Pro 2019, Mac Studio, and newer models in these series. The update can be downloaded by going to the “Software Update” section in your device settings.

With macOS 14 Sonoma, Mac users can enjoy a more seamless and engaging user experience, as well as enhanced features for productivity and entertainment.
