New iRobot Roomba Combo j9+ robot vacuum cleaner will cost $1,399: What can it do?

iRobot has unveiled its new flagship robot vacuum cleaner, the Roomba Combo j9+, which promises to revolutionize the world of home cleaning. The new model is available for $1,399 and offers a range of innovative features.

One of the key features of the Roomba Combo j9+ is its ability to clean and mop floors on its own. For this purpose, the robot is equipped with a special bracket for a cleaning cloth, which can be installed on the device. When the wash mode is activated, the bracket rises to the top of the robot, reminiscent of a car spoiler. This allows Roomba Combo j9+ to effectively remove dirt and dust from floors, as well as sweep carpets.

The new model also features an original design and a large docking station. The docking station itself has become quite a nice piece of furniture: the side edges of the station are made of faux leather, and the top surface is made of wood, which gives it a stylish and modern look.

Inside the docking station there is a dust collector and a water tank. The dust container can only be emptied once every 60 days, and the water tank can only be refilled once every 30 days. However, it is worth noting that the Roomba Combo j9+ will have to independently choose the side of entry into the docking station, since the port for adding water and the port for collecting dust are located on different sides.

The Roomba Combo j9+ is also smarter than previous models. New features such as Dirt Detective and SmartScrub allow the robot to independently detect how dirty the floor is and clean it accordingly. The robot “learns” from previous missions and automatically prioritizes more dirty rooms, adjusting suction and cleaning intensity.

However, the robot vacuum cleaner also has a rather noticeable disadvantage: the user will have to clean the cleaning cloth manually, although some other manufacturers of robot vacuum cleaners already offer an automatic system for cleaning the cloths.

Sales of Roomba Combo j9+ will begin in October.
