September 8, 2023  10:24

Google has released the first official video teasers for its leading Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro smartphones, thus confirming the design of these devices. The company showed its new smartwatch, too.

The company has published two videos, the first of which is entirely dedicated to the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro smartphones. In the second video, the new Pixel Watch 2 smartwatch is shown for the first time. Judging by the photo, the new product will not differ much from the first generation smartwatches.

The presentation of new Google products will take place on October 4, and this date is also indicated in the videos. Also, pre-orders will start on the same day. The Pixel Buds Pro earphones in a new color may also be introduced on this day.

Before the launch of the aforesaid smartphones, Google has already shown the Pixel 8 Pro smartphone twice: once, according to reports, by accident, and in the second case, the company had presented an online simulator that showed this smartphone from all angles.

By the way, Pixel 8 Pro has kept the SIM card slot, which dismisses the reports that the new smartphone will be released only with an eSIM version. It will likely have support for 5G mmWave networks, as well as a telephoto module with 5x optical zoom.

Google's Pixel series models will be considerably more expensive compared to the previous generation smartphones. The GSMArena website, citing an anonymous source, had written that the base version of the Google Pixel 8 (128 GB) will be offered at a price of 874 euros (about $940), the version with 256 GB of memory—949 euros (about $1,020), the Pixel 8 Pro with 128 GB of built-in memory will cost 1,235 euros ($1,330), and the 256 GB version will cost 1,309 euros ($1,410). And the most powerful modification, with 512 GB of memory, surprises with its price: 1,461 euros (about $1,575).
