Threads to launch web version: When to expect it?

August 21, 2023  13:31

Meta's new social media platform Threads is set to launch a web version of this app this week, The Wall Street Journal reported, citing the company sources.

The sources claim that the launch plan for the web version is not final and its implementation may be delayed.
Earlier, Mark Zuckerberg, the head of Meta, announced the introduction of the web version of Threads and the search function in this social media platform.

Currently, only individual messages in Threads can be viewed on PCs, and this app is optimized for the mobile version.
Previously, Threads announced a new feature for reposting posts; now users will be able to see them both in the feed and in a separate tab. Also, this social media platform added the ability to view the user's liked posts.

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg had said he was pleased with how quickly the development team was rolling out new features to Threads.

Meta launched Threads in early July. Just a few days after its launch, this social media platform already had 50 million users. As of July 10, the number of Threads users had exceeded 100 million.
