Is Samsung plannig to create a smart ring?

South Korean tech giant Samsung has registered three trademarks with the UK Intellectual Property Office (UKIPO) that may refer to the company's new wearable devices. This is reported by SamMobile.

We are talking about such brands as Samsung Circle, Samsung Index and Samsung Insight. All trademarks are registered in the categories "wearable computers", "smart rings", as well as "smart watches and smartphones".

SamMobile speculates that the Samsung Circle name could refer to the company's smart ring or fitness bracelet. In turn, journalists associate Samsung Index and Samsung Insight with virtual, augmented or mixed reality devices and controllers.

"The information is too vague to determine the exact nature of these devices or to be sure of their existence at all," writes SamMobile.

Along with that, the website reminded that back in February 2023, Samsung together with Qualcomm announced the development of a headset for mixed reality, the name of which has not yet been determined. Since then, information about the device has not appeared in the media.
