Some files are dangerous to store on your phone. First of all, these include copies of the passport and photographs of an intimate nature, according to Sergey Vakulin, an expert in the field of information and computer security.

According to Vechernyaya Moskva, the habit of storing such files on the phone can go sideways and lead to their leakage. And if they fall into the hands of scammers, they can use them in a variety of ways.

“Almost all phones and other technical media are connected to the global Internet, so they can be hacked. However, if the device is not connected to the Internet, then it will not be possible to steal data remotely, ”the specialist noted.

He recalled that attackers often deliberately distribute viruses that collect all the information from people's smartphones - both useless and that which may be of some value to them. These can be photos of an intimate nature, bank cards, tickets and documents with personal data.

Antivirus programs are not always able to protect devices from hacker attacks. Therefore, the specialist recommends not storing important files in the smartphone’s memory, but using secure media that is not connected to the network. He also advises changing passwords regularly and not opening suspicious links sent to email or instant messengers.
