"Crossbreeding" of mouse and keyboard? Korean designer shows an unusual device (photo)

South Korean designer Hizin Joo has presented a concept of a computer mouse, which looks like a crossbreeding between a mouse and a keyboard։ instead of the usual buttons, the mouse received a mechanical keyboard key. There's no traditional little wheel between them, instead there's a touchpad under the keys.

The keys can be replaced by others, as in a mechanical keyboard, at the request of users, who can also change the switches, key colors, and the body of the mouse. In addition, key actions can be configured to launch different programs.

As Yankodesign.com points out, while the device certainly looks interesting in terms of design, this mouse still has issues with ergonomics. Pressing such keys, especially several times, will certainly be uncomfortable. The shape of the mouse can lead to incorrect hand and wrist positioning, and the tilt of the touchpad that replaces the mouse will make matters worse.

The mouse works with Bluetooth and can be connected to three devices at the same time, it is charged with a USB Type-C cable.

It is not yet known whether such a mouse will ever appear on sale or will remain only a concept.
