How do you take care of your smartphones, tablets and other devices so that they last as long as possible? Here are some useful tips!

Charge your device on time

You may hear different opinions about whether or not you should and can fully discharge the battery of a gadget before you charge it. In the past, many gadgets used batteries that would lose some capacity if they were charged without being fully discharged. However, modern lithium-ion batteries and lithium-polymer batteries do not have this problem, so you should not wait for them to run out completely – safely charge your phone as needed!

Cleanliness takes precedence

It is advisable to clean any gadget – be it your phone, computer, or anything else – regularly, both outside and "inside".

Dust and dirt have no place on your gadget, and, moreover, regular cleaning of the surfaces of your device will reduce the risk of spreading infectious diseases through it. It is recommended that smartphone and tablet screens, as well as monitors, be wiped regularly with clean, soft cloths or special monitor wipes. You can also use special sprays for cleaning monitors or antiseptics with 70% isopropyl alcohol.

However, it is not a good idea to wipe the phone or monitor with medical alcohol or vodka, especially if the device does not have a screen protector.

In addition, regular cleaning of the cache and garbage, and removal of residual files and unused applications will speed up your device and free up a lot of space.

Protective films and glass are a good idea

Protective films, glasses, and cases do help protect devices from mechanical damage from drops and bumps, so you should not ignore them, even if your device has Gorilla Glass or other durable glass.

Authorized service centers vs. clandestine

If you have issues with your gadgets, it is better to contact authorized service centers. Employees of underground centers do not always know what they are doing, and this can only worsen the condition of your device.

Sunlight is evil

Sunlight, like any other heat source, can cause the device to overheat, which is not good for the device. Therefore, it is recommended that you keep your device away from heat sources, whether sunlight, a stove, a heater, or any other device that radiates heat.
