The Tencent Cloud company has introduced a digital platform for the production of a digital human called Deepfakes-as-a-Service (DFaaS), reports The Register.

To create a digital version of a person, the service needs only a three-minute video of the person, 100 sentences spoken by him and 24 hours of time. And all this for just $145.

The human digital version is available in both full-length and waist-length versions. The service is available in both Chinese and English.

Chen Lei, general manager of Tencent Cloud Intelligent Digital Human Products, said the company hopes to build an "automated intelligent digital human manufacturing factory."

Tencent offers five styles for its digital humans: three 3D (real, semi-real and animated) and two 2D (real and animated).

Digital humans can be used, for example, to work with chatbots, which are becoming increasingly popular. Local media also reported that Tencent could use this development to create digital doctors, lawyers and other professionals.
