Experts at Gizmochina have compiled a ranking of the best tablets for August 2026. Apple's device took first place, but the top five also includes strong models from Samsung, OnePlus, Xiaomi, and HONOR—each with its own strengths.
iPad Pro M5 – The LeaderAt the top of the list is the 13-inch iPad Pro with the M5 chip. The tablet features a Tandem OLED display, a slim 5.1 mm chassis, and a weight of 579 grams. The new M5 processor is 3.7 times faster than the M1 in 3D rendering tasks. Other highlights include Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, and 40 W charging. OnePlus Pad 4 – An Affordable FlagshipThird position went to the OnePlus Pad 4. Described as a budget flagship, it offers a 13.2-inch 3.4K display, a powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, a 13,380 mAh battery, and eight speakers. The model delivers high-end specifications at a relatively accessible price point.
Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro and HONOR MagicPad 4Fourth place was taken by the compact Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro, featuring an 11.2-inch LCD display. In its matte version, it is well-suited for reading and is positioned as a balanced solution for everyday tasks.
Rounding out the top five is the HONOR MagicPad 4—the thinnest tablet in the ranking, with a chassis thickness of just 4.8 mm.
