HUAWEI is actively developing a new generation of smart glasses, expected to launch in the first half of 2026. According to insiders, the device will mark a significant step forward in the brand’s ecosystem and feature several functions not previously seen in the company’s wearables.
Autonomy and Translation Without a Smartphone
The main highlight of the glasses will be a built-in AI translator that works directly on the device—no smartphone app required. This will allow users to communicate in different languages while traveling, in meetings, or in daily life without extra steps. The glasses will independently recognize speech, translate it, and output the result, likely through speakers or a display.
The device is positioned as more independent from a smartphone than previous AI Glasses models. It continues the line but emphasizes standalone use and deep integration with HUAWEI services.
Features and Hardware
The glasses will include an expanded set of capabilities:
Photo and video capture via built-in cameras Audio recording and music playback Speakers and microphones for calls and voice control AI functions for context-aware assistance, reminders, and ecosystem interactionTo balance autonomy and weight, HUAWEI plans to use three lithium batteries, ensuring decent battery life without frequent recharging.
Design and Colors
Leaks suggest the glasses will be available in three colors: Streamer Silver, Titanium Silver Gray, and Modern Black. The design will retain HUAWEI’s recognizable style—lightweight, minimalist, and comfortable for long-term wear.
Timing and Plans
The official launch is tentatively scheduled for spring 2026. The device will be part of HUAWEI’s extended ecosystem, including proprietary services, HarmonyOS, and other brand wearables.
In Brief
HUAWEI is preparing new smart glasses with AI and a built-in real-time translator, independent from a smartphone. The glasses will feature cameras, speakers, microphones, three batteries for autonomy, and come in three colors in spring 2026. This marks a step toward more standalone wearables with a focus on translation, media capture, and ecosystem integration.
