Xiaomi is officially entering the AI laptop market. During a recent online broadcast dedicated to the upcoming release of the Xiaomi 15 Ultra, company president Lu Weibing confirmed that Xiaomi is developing its first AI-powered laptop. This was reported by GizmoChina.

What’s Already Known About the New Device?

While the official name of the laptop remains under wraps, Xiaomi’s head revealed one key technical detail: a 99 Wh battery. This capacity was chosen to comply with aviation restrictions on carrying electronics in hand luggage.

The laptop announcement followed a post by Ma Zhiyu, Xiaomi Communications Technology’s product marketing director, who previously shared an image of the packaging for the upcoming Redmi Book Pro 2025. Rumors suggest this laptop will feature an Intel Core Ultra 5 processor, though the exact model has yet to be specified.

AI and Integration with Xiaomi’s Ecosystem

The new device is expected to be deeply integrated with Xiaomi’s proprietary HyperOS Smart Connect interface, enabling seamless connectivity with Xiaomi smartphones, tablets, and smart devices. This will allow users to easily sync data, transfer files quickly, and manage their devices through a unified app.

Gaming Potential

Beyond its smart features, the laptop might also appeal to gaming enthusiasts. Ma Zhiyu shared test results from Black Myth: Wukong, one of the most anticipated Chinese action RPGs. The average frame rate reached 67 FPS, with peaks up to 75 FPS and a minimum of 59 FPS. These figures suggest robust graphics performance and an efficient cooling system, promising comfortable gaming without overheating.

More details about Xiaomi’s AI laptop are expected to be revealed in the coming months.
