Apple has introduced updated 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro notebooks powered by the M4 Pro and M4 Max processors, which the company says will significantly improve the performance and power of the notebooks.
In addition, the 14-inch MacBook Pro will get an additional USB-C/Thunderbolt 4 connector on the right side and a new "space black" color to match the higher-end models, reports The Verge.
The new MacBook Pro starts at $1,599 for the base 14-inch model, which now has 16GB of RAM instead of 8GB. The M4 Pro and M4 Max models start at $1,999 for the 14-inch model and $2,499 for the 16-inch model, and the base RAM will increase to 24GB. The laptops are already available for pre-order, with sales starting November 8.
In addition to chip and RAM improvements, the new MacBook Pros also feature Thunderbolt 5 connectors, new 12MP webcams, and high-brightness nanotextured displays.
The M4 Pro and Max processors have faster graphics cores, ray tracing and neural engine, making these devices an ideal choice for work with artificial intelligence and machine learning.
Apple also announced an increase in base RAM for the MacBook Air M2 and M3 models from 8GB to 16GB. The price of the minimum versions of the devices will remain the same: 999 dollars.
