Apple admits it's lagging behind in AI, but plans to build the world's best neural network

Apple intends to create the world's most advanced artificial intelligence (AI). Tim Cook, head of the organization, said this in an interview with the Wall Street Journal.

According to Cook, Apple's neural network is already the best for users of the company's technology, but when experts improve AI, it will become "the best in the world."

“It turns out that making a really good neural network is really hard. This requires many repetitive steps. You have to take care of every detail," said the head of Apple, explaining why the company is not one of the first in the AB market.

Cook also spoke about his impressions of using Apple's neural network, Apple Intelligence, noting that he started saving a lot of time thanks to it.

Apple has already released public beta versions of iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1 and macOS Sequoia 15.1 at the end of September. Owners of iPhone 16, iPhone 15 Pro, and devices with M1 chips and later have access to text-related tools, a new Siri design, Clean Up AI to remove objects from photos, and more.

However, Apple Intelligence is only available on select smartphone models: iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, and iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro. iPad and Mac owners with M1 and newer chips will also be able to try out the new features.
