The Robi AI team consists of four people aged 17-18. Together they have developed an AI tool that can create text, visual and audio content, helping marketers, bloggers and many other professionals in their work.
Alen Hovhannisyan, a programmer from Robi AI, took part in the Sevan Startup Summit, where he presented a project developed with friends, consulted with mentors, looked for new acquaintances and potential partners and clients. And all this, as he noted in a conversation with NEWS.am Tech, he tried to do in accordance with the 7-day plan developed by the artificial intelligence Robi.
What is Robi AI?Robi is an AI-powered content creation platform that enables individuals and businesses to create high-quality text, images, speech/voice content, and code.
Robi uses advanced algorithms and machine learning technology to analyze and understand the needs of the user, who is required to enter only some basic information or keywords about their brand or product to get unique, creative and customized content.
"With our tool, you can, for example, create a picture and based on it make a short video in a few seconds. Recently, we have been working on another tool that will allow you to create beautiful photos of a product on an attractive background in a few seconds," Alen said.
The platform also offers speech-to-text and text-to-speech capabilities. There’s also a cool feature that allows the AI to read your suggested text in your voice after you upload a one-minute sample of your voice and speech.
“Our platform allows people to spend less time and resources on creating content. Our AI can create graphics, images, text, code, and even a plan for how to best distribute content online to attract maximum attention,” Alen explained.
The platform can be useful not only for work, but also for leisure. For example, with its help, you can "animate" children's drawings, making them more realistic and even creating short videos where they move. Many children and their parents really like this, Alen noted.
The platform is powered by OpenAI's GPT, which the team trained using their own materials. Robi AI is compatible with many devices, including computers, laptops, tablets, and smartphones.
First startup at age 12In an interview with NEWS.am Tech, Alen also said that he first took part in the Sevan Startup Summit back in 2019, when he was only 12 years old. At the event, he unexpectedly met a classmate. The atmosphere of the event inspired them to create their own startup – an online programming school that allowed to study even if there is no computer – on the phone. Moreover, the app took care of users’ eyes, occasionally offering them a short break. It also had a dark mode thanks to which got less tired.
The guys have come a long way since then, and this year they presented their new project Robi AI at the summit. Alen hopes that the experience and contacts gained during the event will help improve and advance the project.
“The individual mentoring sessions were very helpful,” he said. “We were given a lot of advice on what to focus on, how to pitch our project, how to interest investors, and how to convince them to trust us and invest in us.”
However, the guys are not going to stop at this project. According to Alen, they are planning to develop their own AI model that has an excellent command of the Armenian language. They have already collected more than 1,800 books, articles, studies and other materials, on the basis of which they are going to train their model.
This year Sevan Startup Summit was held from July 21 to 27 in a tent city on the shore of Lake Sevan. Every year, this informal business forum attracts hundreds and thousands of startups from Armenia and a number of other countries, giving them the opportunity to present their ideas to potential investors and mentors, listen to speeches of famous guests, participate in panel discussions, seminars, campfire talks, entertainment events and much more.
