YouTube monetization will finally become available in Armenia. Minister of High-Tech Industry Mkhitar Hayrapetyan announced the news, citing an official statement from YouTube.
Hayrapetyan welcomed YouTube’s decision to expand its presence in the Armenian market, describing it as an important step toward strengthening the country’s digital economy. He noted that the move would broaden opportunities for Armenia’s rapidly growing community of content producers and creative professionals while increasing the global visibility of Armenian content, culture, and innovation.
According to the minister, platforms like YouTube represent more than just content for Armenia — they create economic opportunities, foster digital entrepreneurship, and help strengthen societal resilience against disinformation through a diversity of reliable voices.
He added that the Ministry of High-Tech Industry of the Republic of Armenia would continue cooperating with major global partners to ensure the full integration of Armenian creators and technology companies into the global digital ecosystem. Hayrapetyan also expressed expectations for further positive developments with American partners and stated that Armenia was ready to deepen cooperation with YouTube and the broader technology community.
“Great news for the creator community in Armenia: the YouTube Partner Program is set to go live this Spring. Creators in Armenia can monetize their content and join the global community of more than 3 million who have turned their passion into a business on YouTube.

YouTube is built on a simple idea: we only succeed when our creators do. It’s why we’ve paid out over $100 billion to creators, artists, and media companies in the last four years alone.
With the upcoming launch of YPP in Armenia, YouTube is continuing its commitment to help grow the global creator economy, invest in their content, hire talent, and empower them to build successful businesses on and off the platform,” the official YouTube statement says.
