The World Conference on Innovation and Technology WCIT2024 has kicked off in Yerevan, during which panel discussions and presentations on artificial intelligence and its applications with the participation of world-famous experts will be held over three days (October 4-7) at the Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concert Complex.
Recall that the opening ceremony of the conference with an unprecedented concert program took place yesterday. Yesterday, the DigiTec exhibition also kicked off as part of WCIT2024, which will last until October 6.
More than 2,000 international delegates and speakers from different countries arrived in Armenia to participate in WCIT2024/DigiTec, including Arvid Bell, Ashter Wojcicki, Tak Lo, Rodrigo Messi, Ibrahim Gedeon and others (the program can be found here).
During the event, Stephen Ibaraki, President of REDDS Capita, will talk about creating a promising future using powerful innovation achievements. Francesca Bertazzo, Director of Collection Strategy at the world-famous brand Calvin Klein, will talk about using AI in marketing and attracting new audiences on social networks. Rev Lebaredian, Vice President of Nvidia, will share his vision of the development of artificial intelligence and its penetration into all spheres of life.
Special guests of the conference Noubar Afeyan, co-founder of the biotech company Moderna, and Garo Armen, CEO of the world-famous company Agenus, will talk about the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in revolutionary medicine.
Alex Yemenjian, Chairman of the Board of Armenko Capital, will give an impressive speech on business start-up strategies.
The speeches of these and dozens of other speakers from around the world will provide participants with a unique opportunity to learn about the best innovation and technological practices and discuss the most interesting advanced solutions.
The conference will also feature the WITSA World Cup (WWC) startup competition among selected startups from about 20 countries, interesting business presentations, workshops and other events. Armenia will be represented at the competition by Text'nPayMe and AllClean startups. The name of the WITSA World Cup winning startup will also be announced on October 7. The WCIT2024/DigiTec conference, titled “THE POWER OF THOUGHT: Artificial Intelligence Beyond Borders, Within Ethics,” will be a global platform to highlight the importance of increasing the impact of information technology, investments and solutions across regions and economies.
