WhatsApp receives two new features

WhatsApp messenger has received two new features that will significantly simplify user interaction within Communities. This was reported on the company's official blog.

The first innovation is an integrated event planning tool. It allows members of Communities to create, announce and manage events directly in the application. Now any member of the “Community” has the opportunity to initiate an event, and other participants can participate in it.

Information about upcoming events will be available on the group page, and notifications about them will be automatically sent to participants as the event date approaches. At the moment, the event scheduling feature is available for groups grouped under “Communities”. This feature will soon be available for all group chats.

WhatsApp developers have also implemented a chain of responses to messages from administrators in Communities. Replies will be organized to minimize chat clutter. Notifications for such replies are disabled by default to prevent spam.
