‘Little Tornado’: Redmi Turbo 3 launched with Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, 120Hz OLED display, IP64 and $265

Redmi officially introduced the Redmi Turbo 3 smartphone on Wednesday. Initially, this model was to be released under the name Redmi Note 13 Turbo, but the difference in performance between the new smartphone and Redmi Note 12 Turbo is so significant that the company decided to rebrand. Marketers have already thought of an alternative name for Redmi Turbo 3: "Little Tornado".

The new smartphone was presented by Wang Teng, the new head of the Redmi brand in China. If the sales plan of the new product is fulfilled, the founder of the company, Lei Tsun, promised to give Wang Teng a Xiaomi SU7 car.

The new smartphone is built on the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC processor and scores 1.754 million points on AnTuTu. It received a rather large cooling system, the top version has 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of built-in memory.

Redmi Turbo 3 has a 6.67-inch OLED screen with a resolution of 1.5K and a frame rate of 120 Hz. The maximum degree of brightness reaches 2400 qd/sq.m.

The main sensor of the main camera is 50 MP Sony LYT-600. It is complemented by optical image stabilization.

The battery capacity is 5000 mAh, it provides 90 W fast charging with a cable, and autonomous operation, according to official data, is 1.37 days.

The thickness of Redmi Turbo 3 is 7.8 mm, the weight is only 179 grams. Other features of the smartphone include IP64 protection, NFC, stereo speakers and an under-display fingerprint scanner.

The phone costs $256.
