Unusual Xiaomi Civi 2 new version now available for pre-order, smartphone’s transparency at back can be changed

The new version of the Xiaomi Civi 2 smartphone is already available for pre-order in China. The limited-edition Xiaomi Civi 2 Hello Kitty differs from the base model in that the transparency of its back can be changed.

Hello Kitty cats are depicted on the back of this smartphone, and the intensity of the image depends on the lighting; in the dark, the back panel turns almost white and the image practically disappears. But under direct sunlight, the image becomes clearly visible.

The specifications of the new version do not differ from the standard. It is equipped with a 6.55-inch AMOLED display, an octa-core Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor with a frequency of 2.4 GHz, and a 4500 mAh battery with support for 67 W charging; the battery is fully charged in 40 minutes.

As for the cameras, there are three of them:

• 50 MP, f/1.8, (wide), 1/1.56", 1.0µm, PDAF,
• 20 MP, f/2.2, 115˚ (ultrawide), 1/2.78", 1.0µm,
• 2 MP, f/2.4, (macro).

The front camera has two sensors:

• 32 MP, f/2.0, (wide), 1/2.8", 0.8µm, AF,
• 32MP, 100˚ (ultrawide), 1/2.8", 0.8µm.

The limited-edition Xiaomi Civi 2 Hello Kitty can be pre-ordered for around $410—the 12 GB RAM and 256 GB built-in storage version.
