A revolutionary robotic massage table called Roden, equipped with an artificial intelligence (AI) system, has been unveiled in Russia. Developed by Beautyliner Group, this device can independently perform massage procedures, potentially replacing traditional specialists. The project is being carried out with the support of Russia’s Ministry of Digital Development, Communications, and Mass Media, highlighting the role of domestic technologies in health and beauty.

The Roden system combines a massage table with a robotic arm equipped with a roller-shaped massage tool. This is more than just a mechanical device — AI ensures a personalized approach, making sessions both effective and safe. According to the manufacturer, the robot avoids common issues such as skin pinching or injury, providing deep relaxation for muscles and the nervous system.

How the Technology Works: From Scanning to Massage

Before each session, built-in cameras perform a 3D body scan, creating an accurate three-dimensional map. The AI system then analyzes the data and calculates optimal movement trajectories for maximum effectiveness. The robotic arm guides the roller tool, performing precise and repeatable motions.

For user convenience, a remote control allows adjustments to roller intensity, pausing, resuming, or ending the session. This makes the process intuitive and adaptable to personal preferences.

Available Programs and Target Zones

At launch, Roden offers three specialized programs focusing on the back and legs:

All protocols are designed to be safe and effective, without risk of overexertion. More programs are planned for the future.

Key Advantage: Four Times More Productive than a Human

One of Roden’s main strengths is high productivity. The device can perform more than 360 sessions per month, which is four times the capacity of an average massage therapist. This makes it ideal for beauty salons, clinics, and wellness centers where demand is high but staff availability is limited.

The robot doesn’t tire, delivers consistent quality, and reduces staffing costs. AI also minimizes errors, ensuring precise and personalized treatments. According to the developers, Roden represents a major step toward automation in cosmetology, an area where Beautyliner has already built a strong 15-year reputation.

In Short...

The Russian Roden massage robot is a smart massage table with AI, 3D scanning, and a robotic arm. It offers three programs for the back and legs — anti-cellulite, lymphatic stimulation, and relaxation. With remote control and over 360 sessions per month, it is four times more efficient than a human therapist.
