Revolution in AI video creation: Google Veo 3 now available in Armenia

Armenia’s Minister of High-Tech Industry, Mkhitar Hayrapetyan, announced that Google’s advanced artificial intelligence tool — Veo 3 — designed for video generation, is now available in the country. This technology opens up new horizons across multiple industries, offering innovative ways to create visual content without the need for expensive filming processes.

Veo 3 is already generating buzz thanks to its unique capabilities, including synchronized audio generation, making it one of the most advanced tools in the generative AI field.

What is Google Veo 3?

Veo 3 is the latest video generation model developed by Google DeepMind, introduced at the Google I/O 2025 conference on May 20. It can create high-quality video clips up to 8 seconds long based on text or image prompts. Unlike its predecessor, Veo 2, the new model stands out for its ability to generate video and synchronized audio simultaneously, including dialogues, sound effects, and background music. This makes Veo 3 a unique tool that surpasses competitors such as OpenAI’s Sora in terms of audiovisual production capabilities.

The technology is integrated into various Google products, such as the Gemini app, the Flow platform for filmmakers, and Vertex AI for enterprise users. Veo 3 is available in more than 159 countries, including Armenia, for users with a paid Google AI Pro or Ultra subscription, as well as through Google Cloud’s free trial credit ($300 for 90 days).

1. Video Generation with Synchronized Audio
   Veo 3 can generate videos with integrated sound, including dialogues, sound effects, and background music, all perfectly synchronized with the visuals. For instance, it can create scenes with speaking characters whose lip movements match spoken words or add realistic environmental sounds like ocean waves or birdsong to natural scenes, making videos more lively and cinematic.
2. High Quality and Realism
   Veo 3 produces videos at resolutions up to 4K, ensuring high detail, realistic physics (such as fabric movement or water flow), and accurate interpretation of complex prompts. The model can recreate intricate scenes like historical events or fantasy narratives with a high degree of authenticity.

Despite its impressive capabilities, Veo 3 raises concerns regarding potential misuse. The model’s training on millions of YouTube videos has prompted questions about copyright and the use of content without creators’ consent. Experts warn this may lead to competition between AI and original authors, as well as the creation of deepfakes or misleading content. Google seeks to mitigate these risks with SynthID watermarks and strict filters that block harmful prompts, but ethical and transparency issues remain open.
