20:04 11 June, 2025Firebird, a leading company in cloud-based AI solutions, has announced an ambitious initiative in partnership with the Government of Armenia and NVIDIA: the launch of a next-generation, innovative cloud AI platform. This project aims to accelerate the region’s technological development and establish Armenia as a key hub for the global AI industry.
By 2026, the project plans to deploy several thousand NVIDIA Blackwell GPUs, with scalable power capacity exceeding 100 megawatts. This advanced infrastructure will support high-performance computing and enable the development of cutting-edge AI applications.
The total investment is estimated at $500 million. This public-private partnership will foster the creation of a modern tech ecosystem in Armenia, integrating:

The new AI center marks a major step in Armenia’s path toward technological leadership and builds on NVIDIA’s growing presence in the country.
The initiative is backed by major companies such as Team Group (the parent company of Telecom Armenia) and Imagine Broadband (Ireland), both contributing expertise and infrastructure to accelerate the rollout of data centers.
The Firebird project combines visionary entrepreneurship, world-class infrastructure, and international collaboration. It opens new avenues for innovation and growth, empowering Armenian companies and startups to harness the full potential of artificial intelligence.
In addition, the project strengthens Armenia’s technological ties with European countries, helping to integrate the region into global technology value chains.
The project’s principal investor is the Afeyan Foundation for Armenia, led by Noubar Afeyan, who also serves as strategic advisor. Afeyan stated:
