Musk's neural network will create photorealistic images

19:25    10 December, 2024

Ilon Musk's xAI company has officially unveiled a new image generation model called Aurora. It has already become available to Grok chatbot users in certain countries, according to the company's blog.

Aurora is an autoregressive model capable of generating photorealistic, detailed images with text, logos and portraits, precisely matching user requests. Unlike its counterparts, the model has less censorship and is capable of generating photos of famous personalities such as entrepreneurs, politicians and actors.

Initially, xAI will offer access to image generation, but in the future, users will be able to edit uploaded images by adding objects to them, changing the style and recoloring details.

In December 2024, xAI will also offer access to chatbot Grok for users without a paid subscription. In the free plan, the neural network is limited to ten requests within two hours. A Premium subscription for the x social network will be required to increase the number of requests.
