The American Apple Corporation intends to create a sugar meter that can analyze blood without piercing the skin. This is reported by Bloomberg.

According to agency analyst Mark Gurman, the company is close to developing a non-invasive sugar measuring device. Apple believes that the device will be useful both for those with confirmed diabetes and for users who want to control their blood sugar levels.

The device has been developed for more than 10 years. The company has achieved some success. for example, Apple recently tested a special application for analyzing the blood of some employees. Mark Gurman noted that this is a highly confidential study, and company employees have signed a medical intervention agreement and a nondisclosure agreement.

The prototype of the non-invasive sugar meter is currently the size of an iPhone smartphone. Apple hopes to reduce the size so much that the sensor can be placed in the Apple Watch smart watch. According to Gurman, the new medical device is unlikely to be released in the coming years.
