13:43 21 October, 2024Users on Reddit, the MacRumors forum, and Apple support communities are complaining about yet another iPhone problem. This time, iPhone 16 Pro users are reporting that their smartphones are restarting suddenly.
Updates to iOS 18.0.1 and iOS 18.1 do not resolve the issue. The problem seems to occur randomly. The screen is unresponsive or very slow to touch, then iPhone restarts quickly. There have also been reports of iPhones unexpectedly restarting in standby mode.
Some users who contacted Apple right after the release of the new iPhones were able to get new devices, but the problem recurred. Almost all complaints relate to the iPhone 16 Pro or iPhone 16 Pro Max. Some users had their smartphone reboot 10 to 20 times a day. In some cases, resetting the smartphone without copying data from iCloud has fixed the problem, so it's possible that this is a bug with iCloud.
Earlier, some users of iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro smartphones complained that the battery of the device is discharging quickly. Most users complained about the iPhone 16, although issues were also seen on older iPhones running iOS 18. Users also complain that the screen is slow to respond to touches.
