The excessive use of smartphones, tablets and other electronic devices can cause health problems, experts in the field of psychology warn.

Psychologist Lydia Kutuzova said in a conversation with the Russian newspaper Izvestia that being constantly carried away by electronic devices can lead to information overload, reduced ability to concentrate, impaired memory and increased fatigue.

In addition, excessive use of technology can cause social isolation, procrastination, device addiction, and sleep disturbances. In children and adolescents, it can lead to delayed speech development, concentration problems, reduced social skills, and impaired emotional intelligence.

The expert recommends setting clear deadlines for working with electronic devices, creating "device-free zones", using special apps to control the time spent online and practicing digital detoxes.

She also recommends teaching children the proper use of electronic devices, encouraging live communication and joint family activities without the use of electronics.

The specialist emphasizes that in order to avoid negative consequences for mental and physical health, it is important to learn to properly control the use of devices.
