According to recent changes initiated by the new European Union Digital Markets Act, WhatsApp users will soon be able to send messages to other apps. This innovation is in line with the EU's new laws aimed at ensuring compatibility between messaging platforms, as reported by The Verge.

Meta, the company that owns WhatsApp, is required to provide users with the ability to exchange messages between Telegram and other third-party apps. The implementation of this feature will be gradual, and European users will receive notifications in the app about the availability of cross-app chat integration.

Additionally, Meta promises to add extra features, such as message reactions, read receipts, and typing indicators. By 2027, the company plans to expand the functionality to include support for audio and video calls between users of different messaging apps, making communication even more accessible.
