What should you do if you dropped your iPhone in water or just saw a liquid detection warning on its screen? Apple has updated its website and shared some tips about it.

Although it is generally accepted that smartphones should be dried with a hairdryer or placed in rice after “bathing,” Apple advises against doing this.

Here's what he advises:

According to Apple, if water gets into the connector on your iPhone, you should point it with the connector facing down and gently tap it with your hand to get rid of excess liquid.

Then it is recommended to put the smartphone in a well-ventilated, dry room and wait until it dries naturally. It is recommended to wait at least 30 minutes before attempting to charge your smartphone or connect accessories such as headphones.

If a yellow exclamation mark still appears on the screen, this means that there is still liquid in the connector, and the smartphone should be left in a ventilated place to dry completely.

If your phone is completely dry but still won't charge, we recommend that you unplug the charger and try turning it on later.
