Game Awards 2023 nominees are known: Baldur’s Gate 3 and Alan Wake II are up for 8 awards

The nominees for The Game Awards 2023, one of the most important events in the gaming industry, are already known. The host of the ceremony, Geoff Keighley, spoke during a special broadcast about which games will compete for the title of the best in 2023.

The leaders and favorites this year are the fantasy role-playing game Baldur's Gate 3 from Larian Studios and the adventure horror Alan Wake II from Remedy Entertainment, which are competing for eight awards.

The superhero action game Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is nominated in seven categories, while the rhythm action game Hi-Fi Rush and the platformer Super Mario Bros. Wonder and the action movie The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom are nominated in five.

Alan Wake II, Baldur's Gate 3, Marvel's Spider-Man 2, Super Mario Bros. Wonder and action-adventure game The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom along with the remake of Resident Evil 4 will compete for the title of best game of the year at The Game Awards 2023.

Simultaneously with the announcement of the nominees for The Game Awards 2023, a voting page was launched on the official website of the ceremony: the results can be influenced by both the jury (90%) and fans (10%).

The Game Awards 2023 broadcast will begin on December 8 at 4:30 Yerevan time.
