Global glitch in WhatsApp: The messenger is already working

There was a global glitch in the work of WhatsApp on October 25, as reported by thousands of users around the world. The failure was also confirmed by data from the service Downdetector.

Most users were unable to send messages for a long time, the application on smartphones and the desktop version of the messenger also did not work. Users' statuses were also not updated, and when trying to update, they froze.

Interestingly, the glitch affected users around the world. According to Downdetector, more than 12,000 reports of problems with the messenger from around the world were posted within half an hour.

A WhatsApp spokesperson confirmed today that the messenger did have problems sending messages. After a while, some of the services of the application started working normally. By 13:00 Yerevan time, the app was already working for most users.

Later, Meta, which owns WhatsApp, said that the problem had been fixed, but did not name the cause of the failure.

“We’re aware that some people are currently having trouble sending messages and we’re working to restore WhatsApp for everyone as quickly as possible,” a Meta spokesperson told indianexpress.com.
