The Chinese company OneXPlayer has just unveiled on Kickstarter a tablet that confidently claims to be the most powerful device in the Windows category. Featuring the AMD Ryzen AI Max Plus 395 chip and support for an external liquid cooling system, it is more than a tablet, it is a compact powerhouse capable of competing with gaming laptops.

Ryzen AI Max Plus 395: RTX 4060-Level Graphics in a Tablet

At the center of the Super X is the new AMD Ryzen AI Max Plus 395 APU with 16 compute cores and integrated Radeon 8060S graphics. Tests indicate that its performance is comparable to a discrete NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060, enabling modern AAA games to run at medium to high settings in 1080p. A TDP of up to 120 watts is unprecedented for a tablet, but this level of power also comes with a challenge: without external cooling, the chip overheats quickly.

OneXPlayer has approached the issue decisively. The Super X is the first tablet to support an external liquid cooling system similar to those used in high-end gaming laptops. The dock attaches through a dedicated port, dissipates heat efficiently, and allows the device to sustain maximum power limits for hours. Without the dock, the tablet runs at 54 watts, which is still impressive but insufficient for extended sessions in games such as Cyberpunk 2077 or Starfield.

Display and Battery Life: A Gamer’s Balance

The device features a 14-inch OLED display with a 2880 by 1800 resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate, matching the quality of flagship laptops. With up to 600 nits of brightness, HDR support and full DCI-P3 coverage, it is well suited for both gaming and media. The 83.5 watt-hour battery offers 4 to 6 hours of gaming time without the cooling dock and up to 10 hours for office tasks.

Upgrading to the top Max Plus 395 adds 100 dollars, bringing the total to 2000 dollars. The configuration bundled with the liquid cooling dock will start at 1960 dollars.
