Chinese tech giant Xiaomi has introduced another addition to its growing line of smart home products — the Mijia Smart Electric Blanket Single, a heated electric blanket that not only provides warmth on cold nights but also eliminates up to 99% of dust mites. The product has debuted on the Youpin crowdfunding platform, where early buyers can get it at a discounted price, according to reports from Chinese media and tech outlets such as Gizmochina.

Design and Materials: Comfort Without Compromise

Designed for one person, the Mijia Smart Electric Blanket Single measures 1.8 x 0.8 meters, making it ideal for a single bed or cozy sofa use. The blanket features multiple layers of soft materials: the outer surface is made from 100% polyester with a cotton finish, while the inner layer is plush for excellent heat retention and moisture control. This ensures that the fabric doesn’t trap humidity or develop mold or odors even after extended use.

The heating system is built on a flexible copper-tube mesh rated at 80 watts, positioned between the layers. Xiaomi noted that these elements are completely undetectable through the fabric — they do not clump, twist, or cause uneven heat spots. The blanket is machine-washable (delicate mode recommended), foldable, and lightweight at just about 2 kg. The XiaoAI voice assistant allows commands like “Set blanket to 40 degrees” without leaving the couch. Integration with other Xiaomi smart devices — like lamps or thermostats — enables intelligent automation, such as the blanket adjusting its temperature based on the room climate.

Sales for the Mijia Smart Electric Blanket Single began on October 17, 2025, via Youpin. During the crowdfunding phase, the price is 179 yuan (around $25), rising to 239 yuan (about $34) in retail. The first shipments are scheduled for October 24, 2025.

While a global release hasn’t been officially announced, given Xiaomi’s worldwide popularity, the blanket is expected to reach AliExpress, Amazon, and official regional stores by November. Versions with European plugs and CE certification are reportedly in development for Russia and the EU.
