Google ‘teaches’ Android smartphones to measure their temperature

Google Corporation has added a function to Pixel smartphones to measure the current temperature of the device.

The novelty was introduced in the updated Pixel Troubleshooting app (version 1.0.693922709).

Now users can check the temperature of their smartphones as follows: Settings > Battery > Battery Diagnostics > Phone is very hot.

This feature is available on Pixel 6 and newer smartphones, except for the Pixel Tablet.

Tests have shown that it works on the Pixel 7 Pro, Pixel 8 Pro, and Pixel 9 Pro XL models.

The update is not yet available on Google Play, but it can be installed via an APK file.

In the past, the Pixel device has been criticized for overheating, especially in newer devices like the Pixel 9.

The new function will help users monitor the condition of their smartphones in a timely manner and avoid problems related to heating.
