Apple may stop production of Vision Pro in November: What is the reason?

Apple has drastically reduced production of the Vision Pro device due to low demand. As reported by The Information, by the end of 2024, the company may completely stop production of this version, which before its release was considered a replacement for the iPhone and a revolutionary product.

Citing people who directly participate in the creation of the components of this device, the source writes that the reduction in production began at the beginning of summer. Additionally, Apple has enough Vision Pro in stock to meet demand until next year.

Earlier it was reported that the demand for Vision Pro was weak due to the high price and lack of interesting applications. The Information reports that Vision Pro suppliers have already produced enough components to make 500,000 to 600,000 devices. Some factories halted production of Vision Pro components back in May due to Apple's weak sales forecast, and warehouses are still full of tens of thousands of unreleased parts.

Apple recently notified Luxshare, the Chinese company that assembles the Vision Pro devices, that it may have to stop production in November. Currently, Luxshare is producing about 1,000 Vision Pros per day, which is half of what it was when production was at its peak.

The source added that if sales increase, Apple will still be able to resume production of the Vision Pro, as the production lines will not be dismantled yet.
