Meta has started testing new artificial intelligence (AI) tools for creating video ads on Facebook and Instagram platforms. These tools allow you to get videos from static images and create extra pixels to enhance the background of the video. This opens up new horizons for advertisers, making it easier to create dynamic and visually appealing ad content. The mass launch of the new AI tools is planned for the beginning of 2025.
One of the main innovations is the AI tool, which turns a static image into an animated one. In the version shown, a static image is transformed into an animated image of berries spinning around a glass jar.
Another important innovation is the ability to increase the size of existing videos. AI is able to fill in the missing pixels on each frame, enlarging the image as if the original video was larger in the first place.
Meta plans to introduce these innovations to a wider audience early next year. The tools will allow advertisers to easily and quickly create dynamic ads with minimal effort. They will also complement existing AI tools that generate text and images to create ads. Ads created using these tools will appear in Facebook's new full-screen video tab.
Meta is not the only company that actively uses AI to create advertising content. For example, Amazon recently unveiled an AI tool that can create videos from product images, and TikTok is experimenting with using AI-generated avatars in ad campaigns.
