Telegram has added new features

New functions have been added to Telegram, the founder of the messenger, Pavel Durov, announced on his Telegram channel.

Durov said that he proposed 10 improvements on Monday, and on the same day the messenger team made mockups, and by Tuesday there were already fully functional versions with implemented features.

The updates include five improvements for gifts and three for hashtags, as well as the ability to see when posts were edited.

On October 6, Durov announced that the function of gifts - animated images on which users can add a message - has appeared in Telegram. He detailed that the user who received the gift can attach it to his profile or sell it for the internal currency of the messenger (Telegram Stars).

On the same day, Telegram expanded the list of violations to file a complaint about posting in channels and group chats, this option became available after updating the application. In addition to the ability to report violence, spam, pornography, including child pornography, copyright infringement, sharing of personal data, or other reasons, the ability to report child abuse, terrorism, and illegal products was added.
