What camera should you look at if you are being photographed on an iPhone?

If you are being photographed on an iPhone, 99% of the time you need to look at the wide-angle camera located in the upper left corner of the back of the smartphone. It is this camera that is usually used as the main one for pictures with people in the frame. This advice was shared by tech bloggers from the Executioner portal.

Advanced iPhones use a block of three cameras: wide-angle, ultra-wide-angle and telephoto. Basic devices like the iPhone 13 and iPhone 14 have two cameras, a wide-angle and an ultra-wide. The smartphone switches between them automatically.

According to tech bloggers, the main lens is wide-angle. It is located in the upper left corner of the back of the device. In 99% of cases, when posing for the camera, you need to look at this particular sensor.

Looking into the ultra-wide lens on the right is only necessary when the 0.5X button is enabled in order to capture as many people as possible in one frame.

If the smartphone has only two cameras (as in most basic models), the main (wide-angle) one is located at the bottom, and it is recommended to look into it in the vast majority of cases.
