Only $200: Honor introduces X50 and X50i smartphones powered by Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 and Dimensity 6020 chips

Honor has presented the Honor X50 and Honor X50i budget smartphones. The first is based on the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 processor, and the second has received an alternative platform, MediaTek Dimensity 6020.

Honor X50 has a 6.78-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 2652×1200 pixels and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. It offers three variants of RAM: 8 GB, 12 GB or 16 GB, as well as 128 GB, 256 GB or 512 GB versions of built-in memory.

On the front of the device is an 8MP selfie camera sensor with 1080p@30fps video recording support. On the back is the main camera module, which consists of a 108 MP main sensor with 1/1.67 inches and f/1.75 optics, as well as an auxiliary 2 MP module for calculating the depth of field. The main camera can shoot in 4K@30fps mode.

The smartphone received a 5800mAh battery with 33W charging support. The phone is also IP53 certified, which means the device is protected against water and dust. The smartphone runs on Android 13 operating system with MagicOS 7.1 interface and will be available in five colors: black, blue, orange, silver and pearl.

The Honor X50i model has more modest specifications. The device has a 6.7-inch LTPS screen with a resolution of 2388×1080 pixels and a refresh rate of 90 Hz. The phone is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 6020 processor consisting of two Cortex-A76 cores clocked at 2.2GHz, six Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 2.0GHz, and a Mali-G57MC graphics core.

This model offers 8GB or 12GB of RAM, as well as one built-in memory option of 256GB. The front camera of the novelty is 8 MP. The main module contains a 100 MP sensor with f/1.9 optics, as well as a 2 MP auxiliary sensor for calculating depth of field. The main camera captures videos at 1080p@30fps.

The device is powered by a 4500mAh battery with 33W charging support. This smartphone also received Android 13 operating system with MagicOS 7.1 interface. The Honor X50i model will be released in five colors: black, blue, pink, silver and rainbow.

The Honor X50 version with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of built-in memory costs 1,399 yuan (about $193). The price of the device in the maximum configuration with 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of built-in memory is 1999 yuan ($275). The Honor X50i version with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of built-in storage costs 1,379 yuan ($190), while the 12GB RAM version costs 1,679 yuan ($231).
