Apple to release 10th-generation iPad, iPad Pro 2022 today

Apple plans to release the iPad 10 and the iPad Pro 2022 today, October 18. According to Bloomberg editor Mark Gurman, there will be no press conference in this regard, and the news will be announced through a press release.

What is known about the iPad 10?

According to reports and leaked information, the iPad 10 will be significantly different from its predecessors, including its design, which in the case of Apple tablets has not changed much since 2017. Even before the release of the tablet, stores started selling its cases, and their shape confirms that the design of the new iPad will be different from the previous ones.

The diagonal of the iPad 10 screen is 10.5 inches, in addition, the frames around the screen will be thinner. It is not yet known whether the Home button will remain on the tablet. Probably not.

The new tablet is expected to have an Apple A14 Bionic single-chip system, and the Lightning port will be replaced by a USB-C. It is also expected that it will support the second-generation Apple Pencil stylus and the 5G network.

What is known about the iPad Pro 2022?

According to reports, the new iPad Pro series will include 11- and 12.9-inch tablet versions. Both tablets are likely to receive the Apple M2 single-chip system, which, compared to the previous generation devices, promises a performance increase of almost 20%.

It is unlikely that much will change in the design of iPad Pro – at least there is no information about it. Most likely, it will look similar to the previous generations – with a large screen with thin bezels.

The 11-inch iPad Pro is expected to feature the same backlit Retina LCD display we're familiar with from previous generations, while the 12.9-inch iPad Pro is expected to feature new Mini LED technology that delivers a maximum brightness of 1,600 cd/m2 and a contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1.
