Apple starts assembling its most powerful MacBook Air: Insider reveals new details

Apple has started work on creating a new 15-inch MacBook Air. The main feature of this device is the presence of M3, one of the latest processors of the company's own production, well-known insider and Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman reported․

According to the insider, the M3 processor will be manufactured at the TSMC plant based on a new three-nanometer process. The switch to the new topology ensures that the M3 will be more powerful than at least previous generations of Apple's base processors.

Gurman believes that Apple will introduce the new 15-inch MacBook Air in 2024. If it really gets an M3 processor, it will become the most powerful device of the Air series.

Apple introduced its first 15-inch MacBook Air at WWDC23. In addition to the improved screen, the new Air received six speakers instead of four.

On Monday the shares of Apple in the stock exchange registered a new maximum index since January of this year. The company's share price increased 1.6% to $183.79, which also affected the rest of the market, as these stocks make up 7.5% of the S&P 500 index.

The company's capitalization currently stands at $2.89 trillion and is not far from the psychologically important $3 trillion threshold. Although the presented Vision Pro device did not impress consumers, experts are sure that its entry into the market will become an important impetus for the development of the entire field of augmented reality technologies and will become another important source of income for the company.
